The untold stories of survival, resilience and overcoming extraordinary adversity: Abu Bakarr Koroma ex-EducAid head-boy lost many years of his education when he was forcibly drafted into the fighting factions and given command of over 40 young men.  When his life came back under his own control he did not sink to the edges of society as so many others have, he pushed to get the best education his efforts could possibly achieve.  An amazing young man.

He is pictured here 5 weeks after he nearly lost his life to unspecified abdominal infections.  Health care in Sierra Leone is pitiful.
